If you’re looking for something equally incredible and calming then look no further than the SWELL Sculpture Festival at Currumbin Beach on the Gold Coast.
Since it first began in 2003, the SWELL Sculpture Festival has drawn crowds in their thousands and now boasts 265,000 visitors annually. While 2020 may be expecting slightly fewer numbers due to travel restrictions currently in place, that only makes it an even better time to experience the magic yourself away from the usual crowds.
WHEN: 11th to the 20th of September 2020.
WHERE: You can find the SWELL Sculpture Festival at Currumbin Beach on the Gold Coast.
HOW: Just turn up! This festival is a free event on a public beach, meaning you can walk around and admire the sculptures whenever you like.
TOP TIP: These photos were all taken at sunrise on the first day of the 2020 festival. While there were still many early risers on an early morning walk around, it was very peaceful. Plus the soft golden light really put the sculptures out on display!
