Cappadocia Photo Diary: Cappadocia Balloon Ride
An unforgettable experience.
If you’re lucky enough to time your visit with the Cappadocia hot air balloons going up (note: they can often be cancelled due to wind speed and wind direction), you’ll be guaranteed an unforgettable morning that sets the tone for the rest of your time in Cappadocia. We took to the skies with Voyager Balloons. I’m not sure if these are the best company or if we received the best price but our experience was spectacular and we were really happy with everything we received.

There is a large variety of accommodation on offer in Göreme, from budget to luxe. Thanks to the proximity of this small town to the balloons, all you really need to make sure is that your accommodation has a rooftop terrace and you’re sorted.
Cappadocia Photo Diary: The magic landscape
The moonscape like landscape of Cappadocia is instantly recognisable thanks to the fairy chimneys rock formations sprouting up from the earth. You can spent hours exploring Cappadocia in the day once the balloons have landed after sunrise.
