Capri
1. Anacapri Chair Lift
When visiting Capri Island, be sure to visit the chair lift at Anacapri. A slow ride up in a single cable car will take you to the very top of the island, with spectacular views along the way. You can find out more about this Instagrammable chairlift here.
2. Faraglioni Stacks
An icon of Capri Island, make sure you book a boat tour (or private boat) to see the impressive Faraglioni Stacks – one of the best Instagrammable places on the Amalfi Coast. We visited with Lubrense Boats (read about our experience here).
3. Capri Water
Just look at that water. Everywhere you look on Capri Island, the vibrant blue water shines. This photo was taken near the Faraglioni Stacks, but the water is incredible everywhere and makes for the perfect Amalfi Coast Instagram shot.
4. Marina Piccola
The quieter port on the island of Capri, this spot is far more impressive than just a place to hop on and off your boat. It’s also a popular swimming and beach location, and just from looking at the photos below you can see why. If you have the time, be sure to include a visit to Marina Piccola on your Amalfi Coast Instagrammable Places list (worth it even if you’ve arrived at the other port!).
5. Blue Grotto
You can’t read an Amalfi Coast Instagrammable Places list without seeing the Blue Grotto included! A must do for everyone visiting Capri, the Blue Grotto’s water is truly incredible – it really does shine. Keep your fingers crossed the Blue Grotto is open when you visit as its entry is dependant on the tide and the weather!
6. Capri View Point
Do yourself a favour on your Amalfi Coast Instagrammable Places hunt and be sure to visit the Capri View Point at the very top of Anacapri. We gazed out at this view after arriving here from the Anacapri chair lift and enjoyed views across the island and sea.
Sorrento
1. Sorrento Sunsets
Again, you just can’t write an Amalfi Coast Instagrammable Places list and not include at least one Amalfi Coast sunset! We stayed in Sorrento during our time in Amalfi (suggested read: Your Amalfi Coast Weekend Guide) and caught sunset each night as it set over the ocean.
2. Hotel Cristina Sorrento
If you’re looking for a place to take in the views of Sorrento from above, you need to visit Hotel Cristina. Order an Aperol or Limonello Spritz to enjoy with this view.
3. Valle dei Mulini (Valley of the Mills)
One of the best Instagrammable places on the Amalfi Coast, you can’t visit Sorrento without experiencing the Valle dei Mulini (Valley of the Mills). Although you might believe this spot is tucked away in the jungle mountains somewhere, it is actually IN Sorrento, near the train station and the centre area. Don’t leave without snapping a picture at this Sorrento Instagram spot. You can find this spot here.
4. Risorante Sorrento o’Parrucchiano
It’s not just sunsets, islands and valleys that make the Amalfi Coast so Instagrammable, the restaurants here are also pretty Instagrammable as well! Visit the Ristorante Sorrento o’Parrucchiano for one beautiful dinner – be sure to add this to your Amalfi Coast Instagrammable places list!
Positano
1. Positano Beach
One of the most well known Instagrammable Places on the Amalfi Coast, Positano is as gorgeous in real life as it appears through the screen. The beach below the colourfully dotted houses is a private beach; however, we asked and the staff there had no issue with us snapping a few pics! If it was just a bit warmer, we should’ve gone into the water from here – for another classic Amalfi Coast/Positano Instagram shot.
2. Positano Alleyways
Almost every square inch of Positano is Instagrammable – and that includes the alleyways. We found this spot on the walk down from the bus stop onto the beach – but pretty much all the Positano alleyways were gorgeous.
3. Positano View Point
We’ve seen the shot a million times before, but it just does not get old. The ultimate Amalfi Coast Instagram spot is the viewpoint over Positano. Prepare for the tour buses and crowds, but also prepare to be blown away.
4. One Fire Beach Club
Duck a little further away from Positano and discover one of the most Instagrammable beach clubs on the Amalfi Coast. One Fire Beach Club is known for its vibrant orange umbrellas and beach chairs, pair your Instagram shot with an Aperol Spritz and a view of Positano over the sea and you’ve got a must do place on your Amalfi Coast Instagrammable list.
Furore Beach (Fiordo di Furore)
You know the beach, I’m talking about – after Capri and Positano it has to be the most Instagrammable Amalfi Coast beach… Make sure to capture it from all angles.
