I was lucky to stay at the Hilton London Heathrow Airport before flying out to the Azores on an early morning flight. What makes the Hilton London Heathrow Airport Hotel at Terminal 4 different?
You might think the Hilton London Heathrow Airport is just an airport hotel, there’s nothing more to it, but you’d be happily mistaken. Despite being an airport hotel, the Hilton London Heathrow Airport combines hospitality expertise with sustainability, diversity and inclusion as a part of their business vision.

The Hilton London Heathrow Airport at Terminal 4 has sustainability at the core of its activities. They have a variety of green initiatives that are aimed to reduce energy, water and food waste. One particular sustainability feature you wouldn’t expect from an airport hotel is the 100,000 bees housed on site (across 4 beehives) which enables them to produce their own honey, served at breakfast, and helps support biodiversity for the area.

King Executive Room
I enjoyed the King Executive Room. This room was very comfortable, with soundproof windows and a 50-inch television and included executive lounge access, complimentary continental breakfast and refreshments. For those who need to work while on the move, there was a sturdy desk and comfortable chair to work from (which is a godsend to anyone who has worked remotely). Refresh in the rain shower and utilise the complimentary bathroom products before relaxing with the, again, complimentary bathrobes and slippers (nothing quite says I’m on holiday like a bathrobe!).
How to get to the Hilton London Heathrow Airport at Terminal 4
London Tube
Heathrow Airport is easily accessible to central London thanks to the London tube. You can get both the Piccadilly line and the Elizabeth line to Heathrow. Make sure you choose the line that includes Heathrow Terminal 4 (as there are multiple terminals at Heathrow Airport).

A short walk to Heathrow Terminal 4 from Hilton London Heathrow Airport Hotel
Those who have had to use airport hotels before, know that ‘airport hotel’ doesn’t always mean… at the airport. Luckily, the Hilton doesn’t just add Heathrow Airport Terminal 4 into its name as a somewhat close to this general area, this Hilton is actually located AT Terminal 4. Just a quick seven minute walk connects you directly between Terminal 4 and this Hilton hotel via a very convenient covered walkway. This covered walkway begins right near the elevators at Terminal 4 that take you to and from the London Underground, making it very convenient for those arriving or leaving via the tube.
OXBO Kitchen
Those staying here can enjoy a meal at the delicious OXBO Kitchen. Located within the lobby of the hotel, the OXBO Kitchen utilises local ingredients to craft tasty meals. And when I say local, I mean as local as it comes. In pursuit of sustainability, the Hilton London Heathrow Airport has a chef’s garden, where fruits and vegetables are grown, with some of the OXBO Kitchen dishes made with ingredients sourced from it. The OXBO Kitchen menu also lets you know the C02e footprint of each meal on offer so you can make an informed decision when deciding what to choose from.
I enjoyed dinner at OXBO Kitchen. It was very pleasant and there was really great customer service. I ordered the OXBO House Salad to begin and the Open Lasagne (mushrooms, butternut, squash, spinach and cheese) as my main.
In addition to dinner at OXBO Kitchen, you can order food all day at the OXBO Café and enjoy a drink at the OXBO Bar.
What else is available at the Hilton London Heathrow Airport Hotel at Terminal 4?
In addition to the delicious on-site restaurant and spacious, modern rooms, there is also a large lobby space to relax in, fitness centre and a small beach terrace, which is popular for hosting conferences and events. It is worth booking a room with Executive Lounge access, as this newly refurbished lounge is an ideal spot to relax and unwind, with happy hour each evening.
