On your way to Lagos? Then there’s no doubt you’ll already be keen to tick off a scenic boat tour along its incredible coastline. With so many boat tours on offer, read on to discover what I loved about Dolphin Seafaris.
I visited Lagos in Portugal in October, 2021. A quick getaway from the UK to enjoy the sunny, warmer weather and beautiful coastline. I had visited Lagos before in 2017 (you can read about my time here), so was already familiar with the holiday town.
Last time I visited I booked a boat trip to Benagil Cave. This time following the coastline up to Ponta da Piedade, exploring the sheer cliff faces and sea caves was on my list.
Our Dolphin Seafaris boat tour was arranged through Sea Bookings. This website allows you to book more than just Portugal boat tours, you can also book boat tours in Croatia, Italy, Greece and more!
After our booking was arranged, we headed down to the Lagos Marina to the dedicated Dolphin Seafaris check-in location (Google Maps link here).
We met the friendly team and were given our tickets before being lead to our boat in the marina.
We slowly made our way out of the Lagos marina and channel and into the open water.
Thankfully the waves had calmed down from earlier and we were able to glide peacefully along the coastline, entering and exploring the sea caves and tunnels.
The driver of the boat was incredible. The way he could manoeuvre the boat between the cliffs and tight spaces with such ease was highly commendable.
Our Dolphin Seafaris boat trip was booked with Sea Bookings. You can find our exact tour (correct at time of writing, of course!) here: Boat trip to Ponta da Piedade.
